The National Greek Fraternity and Sorority Awards® Reschedules Its National Launch
CLEVELAND, OH – October 14, 2010 – The National Greek Fraternity and Sorority Awards® announces that it has moved the national launch of the Greek All-Star™ Awards™ back to 2011.
Executive Director Tim Carthon felt this would be best for the long-term goals of the event. “It is very important that we get the momentum that we need behind the event from many different companies and individuals leading up to next year’s national launch,” he said, “National Greek Organizations, educational organizations, be they private or public, local, state, or federal, grassroots, students, and others, we need all of their support. We are determined to get Greek-letter organizations to, as Mufasa from the Lion King said, ‘Remember who you are…’,and, in doing so, be able to do a much more potent job in helping to push high-school students to higher educational heights. Those are our ultimate goals.”
The Urban League of Greater Cleveland, an organization that is the “sister arm” to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (more commonly known as the NAACP), is onboard for the event goals and its rescheduling and is continuing its educational partnership with the Greek All-Star™ Awards™.
