According to dictionary.com, “Selfish” is defined as:
- devoted to or caring only for oneself; concerned primarily with one’s own interests, benefits, welfare, etc., regardless of others.
I’ve been having several very meaningful and reflective discussions the last few days with people my age who are all in different walks of life. However, one thing remained a constant in these discussions: There comes a time in everyone’s life where you have to be completely selfish and genuinely focus on you.
If you would have asked me 5 years ago where I see myself in 5 years I would have said married, kid or two, and that’s about it, a very vague picture of what I wanted. As I continued to grow I set more goals and accomplished them while rearranging other things like the family and such the picture became more clear and I realized that there are A LOT of things I want to do while I’m still in my youth.
